DAY NURSERY
This is available in term time during the hours of opening for children from the age of 2½ to 5 years. Children can attend our nursery until the end of the term of their fifth birthday. This could be a morning or afternoon session, or for a full day. Children will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum for one session; if they are attending full time then the emphasis for the other session will be on fun and relaxation.

At Houghton Nursery Group, we currently provide, for children who are eligible, free early learning and childcare entitlement of fifteen hours per week. All children are entitled to this the term following their third birthday. Also available is free early learning for two year olds dependent upon meeting the government's criteria.

Children born before:-
31st August will receive their entitlement in the Autumn Term
31st December will receive their entitlement in the Spring Term
31st March will receive their entitlement in the Summer Term

In addition they can access wrap around care. This is the provision of care before and/or after an early years education place. This is also available to school children.

The day nursery is not open on Bank Holidays but a Holiday Club continues providing day-care during school holidays.

PREMISES AND FACILITIES
A path links the school and the Nursery building, allowing safe access for moving from one premises to the other. The nursery provision will be used by the Breakfast Club, the After School Club and the Holiday Club. The buildings will be kept securely locked at all times. Secure fences and walls surround the premises.
