The whole team here at Houghton Nursery Group are First Aid trained, have a full DBS disclosure, and we undertake continuous development training each academic year.

Committee Managed

Houghton Nursery Group is managed by a voluntary committee made up of our Manager and children's parents and carers. We hold an Annual General Meeting to discuss the previous and coming year, and the meeting is open to all parents and carers of the children who attend Houghton Nursery Group.

The committee is responsible for helping the nursery in:

• Employing and managing staff;
• Managing finances, including setting our fees;
• Arranging and running fund raising events;
• Ensuring our policies and procedures are in place and being adhered to;
• Making sure the nursery works in partnership with our children's parents and carers;
• Ensuring the nursery is providing high quality childcare to every child that attends our nursery and/or clubs.
